If something went wrong in a race
Open the race in History, scroll to the bottom and tap Share test report. That file holds the summary, every event, the track and the crew log. Attach it to your email. With it a problem can usually be reproduced in minutes, without it we are guessing.
Common things
The loop did not end at the right place
NextYard ends a loop when you tap, not when GPS thinks you crossed a line. Races run on the race director's call, so the tap is the truth. If you tapped late, correct the loop time in the race screen afterwards.
Distance is lower than my watch
Two devices never agree exactly. The first thirty seconds after a start are the usual cause, because GPS needs that long to settle. NextYard compensates for that gap, and across the last field tests the difference to a Garmin was under half a percent. If yours is much further off, send the test report.
My crew sees nothing
The crew view needs a connection on both ends. Your phone pushes an update every few seconds while it has signal, and catches up when it comes back. If a crew phone has been in a pocket for hours, iOS has frozen the app. Opening it refreshes everything instantly.
Battery
Background GPS over 24 hours needs a power bank, on any app, including a watch. Night mode turns the screen almost black and is worth using from dusk.
Deleting your data
Deleting a race in History deletes it from the phone, including photos and the track. Deleting the app removes everything. For the waitlist, use the unsubscribe link in any email, or write to us. Details in the privacy notice.
